1.HARMI PEOPLE (people who lives in haram territories.

1. Meqat means the dead point where the pilgrims have to wear ahram. if  someone crosses this dead
end without wearing ahram, he has to come back to put on. It is very important place and pilgrims of haj
and umra must care of it. Now a days pilgrims of haj and umra mostly travel by air, therefore they must  put on their ahrams from their native places or from local airports. They should not wait of Meqat. In aeroplane it is difficult to change ahram when plane crosses meqat. If a pilgrims travel by road, he may stop at meqat and wear Ahram. There are different Meqats for the pilgrims coming towards holy Makkah from different directions.

They are five Meqats as per the prophet muhammad sallialla ho allihi wasalam pointed out.

1.Zul-Halifah:

<>It is the meeqat for the people coming from Madina munnawarah.Prophet Muhammad sallallaho allihiwasalam had worn Ahram here. The distance between it and the prophet's Mosque in madina  is 13 kilo meters and it is 420 kilo meters away from Holy Makkah and it is also the meeqatfor people of qaseem, tabuk and al-joaf (cities of saudi Arabia)

Ber-e-Ali (zulhalifa) mosque and its'surroundings

3. Qarn ul - Manazil: It is called the big flood and its distance from the inside of the valley / wadi to Holy Makkah is 78 kilo meters, form which consecrate the citizens of Najd and the whole East pilgrims: the citizens of the Gulf, Iraq, Iran and other who pass by it. Moreover the citizens of Taif perform consecration from Wadi Muharram which lies along Al Hada highway west of Taif which is 75 kilo meters far from Makkah besides other pilgrims who pass by it. 5. Zat-Iraq:  It lies to the east of Makkah at a distance of 105 kilo meters and this location is deserted now due to non availability of roads on it. Today, the east pilgrims, who arrive by land, perform consecration form Al Sail/Flood or from Zul Halifah. It is quoted about Ayesha Allah blessings be upon her that: "The Messenger of Allah - peace & blessings be upon him located Zat Irq for the inhabitants of Iraq". This saying/Hadith was not reported to Omar Bin Al Khattab - Allah blessings be upon him - and hence he specified Zat Irq for the inhabitants of Iraq and this is one of his many endeavours wherein he conformed and agreed with the prophet's tradition / Sunna and it is imperative for whoever passes by these appointed locations to consecrate from them while he is prohibited to surpass and overtake them without consecration if he is destined for Makkah for performing Haj or Umrah either if he passes by land, sea or air. It is legislated, for whoever proceeds to Makkah by air for the purpose of Haj or Umrah, to be ready and prepared for that by performing the major, ritual ablution prior to boarding the plane. If he approaches the appointed location, he shall wear his wrapper and dress and then makes accidence for either Haj or Umrah. If he wears his wrapper and dress prior to boarding or prior to approaching the appointed location, it doesn't matter and it's all right, but provided that he should not intend to enter into consecration and must not make accidence unless he comes close or parallel to it since the prophet - Allah peace and blessings be upon - him - consecrated from the appointed location. With regard to those who live beyond these locations such as the population of: Jeddah - Bahra, Shariea and others, their places of residence are their appointed locations form where they consecrate for Haj or Umrah, whereas the citizens of Makkah consecrate for Haj - solely - from Makkah. Whoever wants to consecrate for Umrah or Haj and surpasses the appointed location without wearing the pilgrim's garment for consecration, he should return and consecrate from the appointed location. If he fails to return, he should offer blood which suffices in sacrifice, since Ibn Abbas - Allah blessings be upon them - said, "Whoever forgets any thing of his asceticism or leaves it, he should shed and spill out blood". Moreover, whoever proceeds to Makkah without the intention of performing either Haj or Umrah but for the purpose of trading or assuming works for him or others or visiting his relatives or others, he should not have performed consecration unless he intends that since the prophet - Allah peace & blessings be upon him said - when he appointed the locations…. "They are for them and whoever passes by them, other than their inhabitants for whoever wants to perform Haj & Umrah …". The concept of the prophet's Hadith is that whoever passes by the appointed locations and has no intention of performing either Haj or Umrah's rites, he is not obliged to
perform the ritual consecration.
