1. In masjid ul haram makkah, if you enter in through bab-e-abdul aziz which is the gate no 1 of the holy mosque you will find two red coloured pillars on its' grey floor. one of them is made of red marble where as the other one is constructed with red cement. The parallel distance between both of the pillars is 10 to 12 feet. The red marbled pillar indicates the place where the BURAQ- (horse which carried prophet muhammad sallalla ho allihiwasalam to masjid-e aqsa -al qudas, from masjid ul haram makkah in a flash of eye. its speed was just like light. In arabic BURQ means light.)-was fastened and the red cemented pillar indicates the place where from the journey of meraj was started.
2. some school of thoughts say that prophet Muhammad sallalla ho allihi wasalam was sleeping in mutaf near kabbah and some say he sallalla ho allihi wasalam was taking rest in the house oh his cousin syeda um-e-hanni when holy angle Jibrael came to take him to skies for MARAJ.if you enter in masjid ul haram through bab-e-abdul aziz and walk straight towards kabba, you will find some grey marble floor on your way in the inner plate form of bab-e-abdul aziz. it is the original place where the house of syeda um-e hanni was situated. Bab-e-abdul aziz. just entering in you find place of embarking meraj. Bab-e-umme hani is on the left.
3. Originally this house was out of haram but in 147 hijra it came into haram boundaries due to its' extension .
4. Till few years before the last gate of masjid-ul-haram was known as babe-um-e-hanni and a sign plate showing bab-e-um-hanni was fixed over its' head but now it is removed and only gate no 95 is written there. Actually it is the last gate of haram and its' number is 95 whereas bab-e-Abdual Aziz is the first gate of haram. since the haram is almost in rounded shape, these two gates have come just adjacent to each other. Babe-e-abdual Aziz is a big gate where as bab-e-um-e-hanni (gate no 95) is small one.
5. since this topic relates to the historic event of meraj, it is necessary to explain it briefly so that the academic knowledge of this holy trip of prophet Muhammad sallallaho allihiwasalam might be refreshed. Meraj journey may be divided in to two parts. firstly prophet sallalla ho allihi wasalam travelled by buraq from masjid ul Haram in makkah to masjid-ul-Aqsa in Alqudas (Bait-ul Muqadas). Buraq ran so fast that in a flash of eye it covered this long distance. In makkah the people knew masjid-e Aqsa as a mosque of long distance. Actually Aqsa means mosque situated at far distance. It is said that the each stride of buraq stretched as far as the eye could see .Reaching masjid-ul-aqsa prophet sallalla ho allihi wasalam led the prayer of all the past prophets who were waiting for the arrival of the last prophet sallalla ho allihiwasalam. All the past prophets were gathered here with the special permission of Al mighty Allah. Syedna gibrael called AZAN AND AQAMAT and requested prophet Sallallaho allihi wasalam to lead special prayer of all Allahs' prophets. In second step a ladder of light was fixed to take prophet sallalla ho allihiwasalam to the skies. He sallalla ho allihiwasalam embarked to skies from masjid-e-aqsa and this journey is called MERAJ. This is the rock where the ladder of light was fixed which carried to prophet of Allah towards skies in Maraj night. it is in masjid-e-Aqsa, AlQuads Alshareef. ----------------------------------------------------------------- IT IS MEHRAB OF MASJID AQSA -----------------------------------------------------------------
THOUGH YELLOW TOMB IS VERY HOLY PLACE AND IS BUILT OVER THE ROCK BUT BE AWARE IT IS NOT MASJID-E-AQSA .MASJID -E-AQSA IS IN FRONT OF TOMB. IT IS SAID TOMB IS THE PLACE WHERE THE BURAQ WAS FASTENED . WA ALLAH ALLAM BIS SAWAB -----------------------------------------------------------------
